Opal Legbar

Much like their relatives, Cream and White Legbars, Opal Legbars are also autosexing meaning they can be sexed by their down coor as soon as they hatch. Fully grown, they are a soft lavender color with pale barred necklaces, tails and wings tips. They have grey legs and a small tuft on their heads that often lead to delightful lopped (flopped) comb. They lay blue eggs.
 
They are a new breed for us and the 2025 season. They were one of our first placements hatching December 4th which puts the eldest set at a little over 4 months old as of our first Hen Sale come April.
